Paul & Shark is the brand by the Dama knitwear company in Varese. The history of this brand begins in the mid-70s with the entrepreneurial intuition of Paolo Dini who, understood the signs of an imminent change and need for novelty of the Italian and international public, launched the Paul & Shark brand on the market. The name was inspired by the film "Jaws" by Steven Spielberg which, in those years was very successful in theaters. It was also inspired by Paolo Dini’s discovery of the sail of an 18th century Clipper with "Paul & Shark" written which seemed like a good omen and at the same time singular as a couple. This project, for many innovative aspects, both as a theme and as an image, is developed around the concept of Yachting and the development it would have in the years to come.
